a bit of verse

Close Attention to Windows and Doors

The world is a tricky place,
   that hinges on moments and glass.
   Drawing fine lines between will be and was,
   approaching and passing and passed.

Thin at the start, then thinner still,
   then nothing bars none at the last;
   a melting away, full stuffed with desire
   that leaves us awestruck and aghast.

Open and shut, and into and out of,
   and finally onto and through.
   Nothing and no time in all that there is,
   encompassing all of to do.
